Terms of use

Using Webtechpie

Webtechpie is a developer community and studio site. It shares information about our community, projects, learning activities, and studio work, and lets visitors send enquiries. Site content is informational; a page or conversation does not by itself create a client, employment, training, or other service agreement.

Use the site lawfully and respectfully. Do not try to disrupt the site, bypass its security checks, submit malicious code, impersonate another person, or use contact forms to send unlawful, abusive, or unsolicited content.

Projects and intellectual property

Project names, marks, images, software, and other materials belong to their respective owners. Open-source projects are governed by the licence shown in their own repositories; linking to a project here does not replace or change that licence.

Unless a separate written agreement says otherwise, you may not copy or commercially use Webtechpie branding or site materials in a way that suggests endorsement or affiliation.

Prototype accounts

The sign-up and dashboard features are experimental. Account records are held by a prototype in application memory and are not a durable account service; they can be lost when the service restarts. Do not use a password that you use for another service, and do not submit sensitive information through this feature.

Third-party services and availability

The contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA to help prevent abuse and Resend to deliver enquiries by email. Community links and project demos may take you to services operated by other organizations. Their own terms and privacy practices apply when you use them.

We work to keep the site useful, but features, links, and content may change or be unavailable. We may correct, update, or remove site material as the community and projects evolve.

Information and liability

We aim to keep project and service information useful, but provide it for general information and make no promise that every description is complete, current, or suitable for your particular needs. Nothing on this site is legal, financial, medical, or career advice.

To the extent allowed by applicable law, Webtechpie is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the site or third-party services. These terms do not limit rights or remedies that cannot legally be limited.

Updates and contact

We may update these terms when the site or its features change. The date below indicates the latest update. Continued use after an update means the revised terms apply to future use, subject to applicable law.

Privacy policy

Who handles your information

Webtechpie operates this website and receives enquiries at support@webtechpie.com. For privacy questions or requests about information you submitted, email support@webtechpie.com. We will take reasonable steps to verify and respond to requests, subject to applicable law and information we are required to keep.

Information you provide

When you submit the contact form, we receive your name, email address, audience type, enquiry topic, message, and any optional phone number or extra context you provide. The form also sends a reCAPTCHA token for verification. Please do not include passwords, payment details, health information, or other sensitive personal information in your message.

If you create a prototype account, the site receives your email address and password. Account storage is currently experimental and in memory; it is not a persistent identity service. Do not reuse a password from another account.

How we use information

We use enquiry information to understand and respond to your message, route it to the relevant team, and protect the form from automated abuse. Account information is used only to provide the experimental sign-in and dashboard flow.

Contact enquiries are sent using Resend to Webtechpie’s configured support inboxes. This means the message may be retained in those recipients’ email systems. We do not use the contact form to subscribe you to marketing emails.

Service providers and transfers

Google reCAPTCHA processes technical and interaction information to assess whether a form submission is likely to be automated. Resend processes the submitted enquiry to deliver email. These providers handle information under their own terms and privacy documentation. Their processing may occur in countries other than yours.

Read the Google Privacy Policy, the Google reCAPTCHA FAQ, and Resend’s Privacy Policy for details about their services.

Cookies and similar technologies

The sign-in feature uses an HTTP-only, same-site authentication cookie to maintain a session after login. Google reCAPTCHA may use its own cookies or similar browser technologies as part of abuse detection. We do not currently add a separate analytics or advertising script in the site layout.

Retention and security

Contact messages are delivered to email inboxes and may remain there according to the recipients’ retention practices. The current prototype account store is in memory and may be cleared when the application restarts. We do not claim a fixed deletion schedule for copies held by email or third-party providers.

We use the controls present in the site and its service providers, but internet transmission and storage cannot be guaranteed completely secure. The prototype account feature should not be used for sensitive information or reused passwords.

Your choices and requests

You can choose not to submit the contact form or create an account. If you have already contacted us and want to ask what information we hold, correct it, or request deletion, write to support@webtechpie.com. Some information may need to be retained in email records or to meet legal obligations.

Depending on where you live, local privacy law may give you additional rights. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page if our data practices change. Please review it from time to time, especially before using the prototype account or contact features.

This page describes the website’s current implementation. Privacy and consumer rules vary by location; contact us if you have a question or request about your information.
